1. Emotionally Intelligent

Do you believe that true partnership happens when we work hard to understand our clients’ goals and motivations? Can you quickly form relationships with your clients and understand their needs?

2. Excellent Communicators

How do you communicate with your clients, their families, and other service providers? Do you understand what needs to be communicated and why, when and how it is best communicated?

3. Creative Problem Solvers

Do you look for creative solutions to help your clients reach their goals?

4. Skilled in Using Evidence-Based Research

Is your clinical work based on best-practise standards and supported by a strong evidence base?

As a team, we value and practise these behaviours:

1. We Listen.

We listen to our clients and colleagues to understand their perspective, needs, desires, and goals.

2. We Learn.

We are constantly learning and asking ourselves ‘what do I need to know?’ This drives our evidence-based practice.

3. We Serve.

Every day we consider the question ‘how can I help?’ This relates to clients, their support networks and our colleagues. We actively serve and support our clients and fellow NSP team members.
