Speech Pathologist

Meet Kaitlin, our dedicated speech pathologist with a passion for helping children develop their communication skills and ensuring every individual finds their unique voice.

With a special interest in pediatric feeding, early language development, and transgender voice therapy, Kaitlin brings a wealth of expertise to our team.

Kaitlin's journey in the field of speech pathology began with a profound desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. She understands the crucial role that effective communication plays in a child's overall development and is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care.

One area where Kaitlin truly excels is pediatric feeding. She understands the challenges that can arise when a child faces difficulties in eating, swallowing, or gaining weight. With her expertise, Kaitlin works closely with families to create personalized therapy plans, focusing on improving oral motor skills, exploring different textures and tastes, and fostering a positive feeding experience for both the child and their loved ones.

In addition to her work with feeding challenges, Kaitlin is deeply passionate about early language development. She recognizes that language skills are the foundation for successful communication and learning, and she uses evidence-based techniques to assess, diagnose, and treat children with speech and language delays or disorders.

Kaitlin's warm and engaging approach helps create a comfortable environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

Another area of specialization for Kaitlin is transgender voice therapy. She understands the unique vocal challenges that transgender individuals may face during their transition and aims to support them in finding a voice that aligns with their identity. Kaitlin provides guidance, exercises, and techniques to help individuals develop an authentic and comfortable voice for their gender expression.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Kaitlin is a mother of two beautiful daughters. When she's not in the clinic, you'll often find her on the hockey field, enjoying her favourite sport and embracing the team spirit.

Kaitlin's dedication to her own passions translates into her work, as she understands the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every individual feels empowered to overcome challenges and achieve success.

At Newcastle Speech Pathology, we are honoured to have Kaitlin as part of our team. Her commitment, expertise, and genuine care make her an invaluable resource for children and adults seeking speech and language support.
